This Is Giselle

We are a group of artists who use collective methods to explore narratives and structures within the classic ballet Giselle. The collective consists of Maria Combi, Anna Heinimann and Gregor Vogel. All decisions are made unanimously.

While we have different ages and face different challenges in life, we still find each other sharing the same core questions as artists navigating late-stage capitalism. In our research, we question the representation of the female body, investigating how gender has been portrayed in the dance industry and more generally in society throughout the times as well as today.
